Village Fair

Another wonderful year at the annual Village Fair.  

Once upon a time, it was all about raising money to rebuild a steeple.  It’s still about raising money; there’s a big, old historic building that needs love and upkeep.  We also have a lot of missions in the community and we reach beyond our town to support global charities.

But, it’s become more.  It’s become a reunion of sorts when the neighborhood, family, and friends all gather together and do good work together.  We put in a lot of work to get to the day of where there’s baked goods and crafts, treasures and arts, raffles and quilts.  And more.

We put in a lot of work to plan and offer breakfast and lunch.  This year, we tried some new ideas that went off wonderfully.  Pulled, yummy chicken anyone?  Delicious grilled hot dog with the perfect grilled roll to go along with it anyone?

We had new artists and old on the Park this year.  We love both!!!

Most of all, we gather together.  We gather as a neighborhood and as friends and family.  Thank you, everyone, for another wonderful year.  Next year…here we plan…
