Belfry and Neighbor’s Notes

Dear Members, Friends, Neighbors, and Community,

Even though we are still sorting out the details, we wanted to send out an update.

We are ready to open our doors!! We will reopen on June 21 at 9am. We will continue to record on Facebook Live so if you are not comfortable attending church at this point, you will still be able to join. Please understand that there will be guidelines in place to keep us all as safe as possible. I will outline those below.

The Annual Meeting will take place June 21 (still tentative) via Zoom at 11am (watch for us to finalize the date). You may join via your computer or phone call. Your participation is vital for the health and vitality of our church. Denominational meetings will take place before then; your denomination leaders should be in touch shortly to discuss.

Do not forget the School Vote Town Meeting is on June 15 at 6pm in the Mahar Stadium and the Vote is on June 22 from 12-7pm in the Mahar Gym.  Be sure to join!

The Farm School Big Pig Gig is this Sunday at 7pm at http://www.FarmSchool.org (online event).

At this point, we will not yet offer Sunday School (but keep your eyes peeled for summer plans). There will be no in-person meetings at the Church for the time being (this includes Yoga).

Our cleaners are keeping up with CDC guidelines and we will sanitize high touch places on Sunday morning before Church, as well as keep doors open as possible.

GUIDELINES: There will be no hymns (Violet will be with us to play, so we won’t be without music), no communion, no passing of the offering plate, and no coffee hour for the time being. You must wear a mask for your protection as well as those around you. You must maintain social distance at all times (6 feet). You must not come to service if you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste and smell, or any other symptoms of illness. We also suggest that you stay home, for now, if you are in a high risk group. We will send out a reminder message before each Sunday service of the current guidelines. If you are unable, or unwilling, to meet our guidelines, please remain home until we can meet again without guidelines.
