With your Orange Faith Community!
Lenten Fridays are back! Well….virtually! We’ve all missed our weekly Friday get-togethers with our ecumenical faith community – sharing soup and bread, a weekly devotion, and just getting to know each other better!
But this year, as we continue with our good COVID practices – Masks, handwashing, and social distancing – we still can’t come together in our various church halls for this special gathering.
However, we can STILL get together “virtually” via ZOOM technology to see each other’s faces, hear each other’s voices, and share in devotions and joyful conversation.
Beginning Friday, February 19 through Friday, March 26 join us via ZOOM for our Virtual Lenten Friday gatherings. We’ll meet from 6-7PM each Friday during Lent for a time of music, sharing, devotions and discussion. There will be fun themes each week, devotions offered by a different person each week, breakout rooms for discussions and getting to know each other. Here’s an idea of the schedule:
February 19th – WEAR PURPLE! Devotions led by Pastor Judy Jones of the United Methodist Church
February 26th – Show off your best bowl of Soup! Devotion leader TBA
March 5th – Fun Theme: TBA Devotions led by Charlotte Weltzin – Lay Pastor of North Orange Community Church
March 12th – Fun Theme: TBA Devotions led by Father Shaun of St. Mary’s Catholic Church
March 19th – Fun Theme: TBA Devotions led by Rev. Andrea Hoslett – former pastor of Bethany Lutheran!
March 26th – Fun Theme: TBA Devotion leader TBA
