Earth Day is Thursday, April 22nd!!!
I.N.C. has put together an initiative to give away free “starter plants” of flower and/or vegetable plants in honor of Earth Day – encouraging people to get back in the soil. They are distributing plants from two locations: OUMC by the Flowering Cross and North Orange Community Church in conjunction with their “April Supper to Go” on the 22nd.
HOWEVER, the weather looks cold and VERY windy for Thursday. So, the OUMC distribution is being postponed till Saturday, April 24th from noonish to 3ish.
CCNOT distribution is still on track for April 22nd in conjunction with the Supper to Go. If you have plants to donate to that distribution, please contact Charlotte Weltzin at 413-687-2906. Additionally, I believe today is the deadline to reserve your dinner for Thursday – so call Charlotte at the same number!!!
