Hello Everyone,

We hope that everyone is doing well and settling into the warmth and joys that summer brings. Council is on break for the Summer (we will meet again in September).

We are looking forward to picnics, fairs, and fun with all of you this summer. We still have space for vendors at the Village Fair, so if you are (or know someone) who would like to be a vendor, please reach out soon to book a spot!

Our 5K this year is in special honor of Janice Nicoliello who was one of the founding members of the race. There will be special shirts AND a special design to honor Janice (designed by Janice’s granddaughter Sarah). You don’t have to run, walk, or crawl to get a t-shirt–just let us know you’d like to purchase one! Yes, you may run the course in your own time, but in order to be eligible for prizes, you must run day of (back by popular demand: there will be Thanksgiving Pies to win again!!). REGISTER and ORDER ANY TSHIRTS by JULY 17TH to guarantee a t-shirt (if you ONLY want a t-shirt, let us know).

We will be starting a Confirmation Studies for kids 14+ starting in the fall. Please keep your eyes peeled for details and let us know if you would like to join us for that. It should be a fun journey of discovery and exploration.

Vacation Bible School (with INC) is hosted by Saint Mary’s this year and takes place the week of July 22-26th.

In the meantime, we hope you have a beautiful summer and look forward to seeing you at events and in the village. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday mornings. Remember that All Are Welcome to join us on Sundays. It’s a nice place to come and spend time with good company and to choose a moment of Peace from our busy lives each week.

Love and Blessings, Charlotte and CCNOT

Neighbors Notes: Working Group Meets in July to plan for the Summer Picnic on July 21st from 12-3pm. The Neighbors Group’s primary goal is to be of support to one another in emergencies (wind storms, ice storms, and the like). We hope to connect together to create a resource for checking in during emergencies and to plan and host periodic gatherings where we can experience joy, connection, and community. There is a Facebook Page for updates at Neighbors Group of North Orange and Tully; please join.

*A Death Cafe is a place to meet and talk about the uncomfortable subject of death and dying. There is no agenda. We are not here to get to “answers” nor are we here to talk about planning for death. This is simply a conversation with others around something we will all experience in our lives and yet avoid speaking about. Grief is welcome, but this is not a grief support group. We will facilitate conversation, but we are not in a counseling role. Hosted by Austina Towle and Charlotte Weltzin.

If there is anyone you think should receive these Notes, please forward this message. You will also find this message in your email if you are on our Mailing List (please reach out if you are not and would like to be).  We will mail (like post office paper mail) a Belfry Notes after the Annual Meeting in May.
